I suppose so. It just seems that if a condition is inherited, there would not be a purpose for the body to be telling the brain (or is it the other way round) that it was damaged, through the mechanism of what is in effect a programmed, auto-inflicted pain. I can't see the purpose of it. Its not like the pain is to tell the brain, for instance, to more…

its a gentic condition tht causes a defect in the collagen. it doessnt hae the part that gives it the toughness needed to hold you together. the damage this causes o the joints, muscles, tissue etc causes pain amongst other things.

I have a question. It may seem an odd one, but I am seriously interested in your thoughts on this, as you say this is a genetic condition which causes pain.

    Hi Carrie ,
you're more entitled to feel sorry for yourself than are many of us , and those visits to the pool must have been so demoralising and frustrating . .

you are entitled to rant (just very occasionally ;)) with what you have to put up with - but to be able to rant with such humour is commendable.

Unlike my missus's ranting which makes me feel its all my fault!!!!!!

Do you have a full time carer/companion you can go out with to keep you safe? I do hope so :)
